About the award
The Seafood Innovation Award is intended to stimulate and reward knowledge-based innovation or entrepreneurship within the field of aquaculture and seafood. The award will help to identify ideas with great commercial potential.
The winner will be announced during the world´s largest seafood business conference, North Atlantic Seafood Forum, Seafood Innovation Day, 8th of March in Bergen. The award consists of a diploma and a prize of NOK 250,000. The winner will be selected by an award committee and a LIVE poll from the audience from NASF Conference. The rationale for the selection from the award committee will be delivered during the ceremony and included on the diploma.
The Seafood Innovation Award committee will consist of representatives from industry, science and finance.
Who are invited
Global candidates with innovative solutions for the seafood industry, who are looking for partners or investors, are invited to participate. The criteria for the assessment of candidates:
• Potential to reduce costs, increase efficiency and sustainability in the seafood value chain
• Degree of novelty
