A delegation from NCE Seafood, including industry and government representatives, visited The Seafood Expo last week.

15 people, including Commissioner Julie Andersland and Roald Kvamme, Group Leader for the Labour Party Hordaland County Council, DNV-GL, Bergen Chamber of Commerce and MSD Animal Health. The purpose was to learn how the seafood business promotes healthy and sustainable seafood to the global market.

Seafood Expo is one of the world’s largest seafood expo with more than 26 600 buyers, suppliers, media and other seafood professionals from over 140 countries visiting. The fair features more than 1,700 exhibiting companies from over 75 countries. NCE Seafood partners Grieg Seafood, Bremnes Seashore, Lerøy Seafood, Marine Harvest and DNB were strongly present at the Seafood Expo, promoting sustainable and healthy seafood products.

Day two, included official visits to other country pavilions of Chile, France and Iceland.  Presentations were held on there perspectives and business with Norwegian Seafood. 

The delegation also met the Seafood Cluster Aquimer to promote innovation collaboration within Horizon 2020 program by the cluster’s AquaMare initiative. SeafoodExpo
