Minister of Local Government and Modernisation, Jan Tore Sanner announced “KABIS” -Kapasitetsløft for bærekraftig og innovativ sjømatproduksjon, from Uni Research to be granted funding from the Research Council of Norway.

This project will create a powerful collaboration between students, business and science, shaping the future sustainable seafood industries.

The Cluster’s has supported the application with an Industry Professor, focusing on improving the biology performance and fish welfare in new closed farming technology systems (RAS S-CCS). Most of the educational and research has been based on open farming systems. With the rapid technology development of new closed farming systems requires an investment to build up the future knowledge platform in education, research and industry.
